A STAR IS BORN
Born and raised in Lafayette, Indiana, Ian Demontrio would make his entrance into the hip hop scene at age 21.
As a Youth, Ian was raised in a small house amongst 3 siblings and 2 parents in a 2 bedroom home. His parents divorced at age 13, and Demontrio's mother decided to migrate to Atlanta, GA along with his younger brother and sister. Ian and his older brother decided to stay in Indiana. 2 years later, life got rough between his father and playing high school basketball, so he decided to start his life over in Atlanta. On the way down to the south, traveling on the bus, he recieved a call that his older brother had been shot in the head and was placed in critical condition in Gary, Indiana.
Immediately, Ian called Spook at the hospital, but Spook wasn’t able to speak. The nurse notified him that his brother may live, because the bullet had ricocheted off of his skull and did not penetrate the brain causing serious damage. When his older brother grew strong enough to call back his cell, he told him specifically “do what you have to do, and take over the Atlanta's music scene.”
in 2008, Demontrio began to produce and engineer his own rap albums from the basement floor of his mother's house. The first original hip hop album was titled "Basic But Uncommon." Demontrio generated nearly 10,000 dollars in accumulative sales from this first independent release and began to captivate audiences with the recording of his new record hollywood. In 2011, After high school, he would release a new mixtape titled "Hollywood", and follow it up with 2 other mixtape releases in 2013. In the next year, he had shared stages with nearly every known hip hop and R & B mogul. By that time, it was time for a shot at the Hollywood big screen.
